Critical Care Medicine is a specialized branch focused on the diagnosis and management of life-threatening conditions requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support—often including mechanical ventilation, dialysis support, and complex medical interventions.

At B.T. Savani Kidney Hospital, our 18-bedded ICU+8(new) is managed by a dedicated team of critical care specialists (intensivists) who are trained to provide round-the-clock care for critically ill patients—especially those suffering from acute kidney failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, or post-transplant complications.

• Advanced life support systems, including:
  • Modern ventilators
  • Multiparameter monitors with centralized monitoring
  • Defibrillators, infusion pumps, and other lifesaving devices
• Specialized nephrology-critical care integration:
  • Supports management of patients on dialysis, SLED, CRRT, and pre/post kidney transplant care
• Strict infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment
• 24×7 availability of Intensivists, Anesthesiologists, Nephrologists, and trained ICU nursing staff

Our ICU team works in close coordination with the hospital’s surgical, anesthesiology, and nephrology departments to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care for every critically ill patient.
